The Local Courts (Amendment) Act, 1966

[22nd September, 1966.]

Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the House of Representatives in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. Subsection (9) of section 29 of the Local Courts Act, 1963, is hereby repealed and replaced by the following new subsection—

"(9) On any such appeal the District Appeal Court shall rehear the whole case and hear any additional witnesses called by the parties even though they did not give evidence in the Court below.".

Passed in the House of Representatives this 26th day of July, in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixth-five.
