THE TRIAL CHAMBER (“Trial Chamber I”) of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (“Special Court”) composed of Hon. Justice Benjamin Mutanga Itoe, Presiding Justice, Hon. Justice Bankole Thompson, and Hon. Justice Pierre Boutet;

NOTING the Prosecution Request for Leave to Call Additional Witnesses and for Orders for Protective Measures Pursuant to Rules 69 and 73bis(E), filed on the 15th of February, 2005 (“Request”), whereby the Prosecution seek leave to add two additional witnesses to the Revised List of Prosecution Witnesses,[1] namely a Military Expert Witness Colonel Richard Irons and a Child Soldier Witness to give direct and expert testimony;

NOTING that in its Request the Prosecution failed to provide the Trial Chamber and the Defence with the curriculum vitae of the Military Expert Witness Colonel Richard Irons in order for the Defence to make an informed response and for the Trial Chamber to qualify the expert witness and to assess whether “good cause” is shown to add this expert witness to the Revised List of Prosecution Witnesses;[2]

CONSIDERING that a curriculum vitae should include the expert’s credentials, that qualify him as an expert and his specific field of expertise;

PURSUANT to Rule 54 of the Rules;

FOR THE FOREGOING REASONS, THE TRIAL CHAMBER

ORDERS the Prosecution to provide the Trial Chamber and the Defence by 4.00 p.m. on Monday, the 28th of February, 2005, with the curriculum vitae of the Military Expert Witness Colonel Richard Irons, that includes his credentials qualifying him as an expert and his specific field of expertise;
