TRIAL CHAMBER II (“Trial Chamber”) of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (“Special Court”), composed of Justice Teresa Doherty, presiding, Justice Richard Lussick and Justice Julia Sebutinde;
HAVING ORDERED orally the change of the scheduling of the court proceedings on 21 July 2005;
RECALLING the Trial Chamber’s Order for the Commencement of Trial and Scheduling Order of 20 January 2005 (Scheduling Order);
RECALLING that the Scheduling Order was subject to further orders of the Trial Chamber;
HAVING CONSIDERED the request of the Defence for shorter sitting hours in order to prepare their forthcoming defence case;
HAVING CONSIDERED the rights of the Accused under Article 17(4)(b) of the Statute of the Special Court and the duty of the Court to ensure a fair and expeditious trial;
HEREBY CONFIRMS the oral Order that the Trial Chamber will sit from Monday to Friday, excluding Wednesday afternoon, from 9:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and from 2:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and that breaks during the Trial will be at the discretion of the Trial Chamber, subject to further order.
