THE TRIAL CHAMBER (“Trial Chamber”) of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (“Special Court”), composed of Judge Bankole Thompson, Presiding Judge, Judge Benjamin Mutanga Itoe and Judge Pierre Boutet;
NOTING the Decision and Order on Prosecution Motions for Joinder filed on 27 January 2004, ordering a joint trial of the three accused Issa Hassan Sesay, Morris Kallon and Augustine Gbao;
NOTING the Consolidated Indictment filed 5 February 2004, as amended by the Decision on Prosecution Request for Leave to Amend the Indictment of 6 May 2004;
CONSIDERING the submissions of the parties at the Pre-Trial Conference held on 29 April 2004;
CONSIDERING the Decision on the Prosecution Motion for Concurrent Hearing of Evidence Common to Cases SCSL-2004-15-PT and SCSL-2004-16-PT of this Chamber filed 11 May 2004.
PURSUANT to Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Special Court for Sierra Leone;
HEREBY ORDERS that:
The joint trial of the three accused Issa Hassan Sesay, Morris Kallon and Augustine Gbao shall commence on Monday 5 July 2004, at 10.00 am.
