ORDER DETAILING JUDICIAL CALENDAR FOR THE UPCOMING TRIAL SESSIONS

THE TRIAL CHAMBER (“Trial Chamber”) of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (“Special Court”) composed of Judge Bankole Thompson, Presiding Judge, Judge Benjamin Mutanga Itoe and Judge Pierre Boutet;

RECALLING the Trial Chamber’s decision of 11 May 2004, in which it ordered that the joint trial of the three accused, Sam Hinga Norman, Moinina Fofana and Allieu Kondewa, shall commence on 3 June 2004 at 10:00am;

PURSUANT TO Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Special Court;

HEREBY ORDERS that, unless otherwise ordered, the Trial Chamber will sit Monday to Friday, with a Court recess on Wednesday afternoon. Fridays will be reserved for the hearing of motions or arguments as necessary.

The hours of court operation on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., from 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Wednesday, the hours of court operation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

HEREBY ORDERS that the first trial session for this case will run from 3 June 2004 to 22 June 2004, inclusive.

HEREBY ORDERS that the second trial session for this case will run from 8 September 2004 to 1 October 2004, inclusive.
