ORDER TO PERMIT FILMING OF THE PUBLIC GALLERY
THE TRIAL CHAMBER (“the Chamber”) of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (“the Special Court”) composed of Judge Benjamin Mutanga Itoe, Presiding Judge, Judge Bankole Thompson and Judge Pierre Boutet.
HAVING CONSIDERED the requests from the Chief of Press and Public Affairs for a cinematographer, Mr. Bentley Dean, to enter the public gallery of the Court Room in order to film a documentary about the Special Court.
PURSUANT TO Rule 81 (D) of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence.
ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
- That Mr. Bentley Dean is authorised to be present in the public gallery of the Court Room on 21 June and 22 June 2004.
- That he should provide the Press and Public Affairs Office with 24 hours notice before he wishes to attend in the public gallery.
- That he should report at the front gate of the Special Court by 9am and in the position to be allocated to him in the public gallery by Special Court Security Staff at 9.20am.
- That he is granted permission to film within the public gallery during the Court proceedings.
- That he may not, under any circumstances, film any of the witnesses before the Court.
- That these Orders be carried out.
