TRIAL CHAMBER II (“Trial Chamber”) of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (“Special Court”), composed of Justice Richard Lussick, presiding, Justice Teresa Doherty and Justice Julia Sebutinde;
SEISED of the Joint Defence Motion for Protective Measures for Witness DBK-088, filed on 18 May 2006 (“the Motion”), in which the Defence requests the Trial Chamber to extend the protective measures ordered in its Decision on Protective Measures[1] to Witness DBK-088;
NOTING that the Prosecution has stated in a letter to the Trial Chamber dated 19 May 2006 that it does not oppose the Motion and does not intend to file a response;
NOTING that the subject witness is listed in the Defence Disclosure[2] as Witness number 40 with the pseudonym “DBK-110”, but that the Defence wishes to change this pseudonym to “DBK-088” for administrative reasons;
SATISFIED that the failure by the Defence to include Witness DBK-088 in its Application for Protective Measures[3] was inadvertent;
HEREBY GRANTS THE MOTION
and
ORDERS that the protective measures ordered in the Trial Chambers’ Decision on Joint Defence Application for Protective Measures for Defence Witnesses dated 9 May 2006 shall also apply to Witness DBK-088.
Done at Freetown, Sierra Leone, this 19th day of May, 2006.
