TRIAL CHAMBER II (Trial Chamber) of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (Special Court) composed of Judge Teresa Doherty, presiding, Judge Richard Lussick and Judge Julia Sebutinde;


RECALLING the Trial Chamber’s Order for Commencement of Trial and Scheduling Order of 20 January 2005[1] (Scheduling Order) inter alia, scheduling the Trial Sessions for the Case of The Prosecutor v. Alex Tamba Brima, et al[2] ;


RECALLING that the Scheduling Order in relation to the duration of the Second Trial Session was subject to further order of the Trial Chamber;


NOW THEREFORE pursuant to Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Special Court, the Trial Chamber orders that the Scheduling Order be amended with regard to the judicial calendar for the case of The Prosecutor v. Alex Tamba Brima, et al[3] insofar as it refers to the remainder of 2005 as follows:


(i) The Second Trial Session for the Case will commence on Tuesday 5th April 2005 and end on Friday 27th May 2005.
(ii) The Third Trial Session for the Case will commence on Wednesday 8th June 2005 and end on Friday 5th August 2005.
(iii) The Trial Chamber will be in recess from Monday 8th August 2005 to Sunday 28th August 2005.
(iv) The Fourth Trial Session for the Case will commence on Monday 12th September 2005 and end on Friday 16 December 2005, subject to further order of the Trial Chamber.
(v) The Trial Chamber will be in recess from Monday 19th December 2005 to Sunday 8th January 2006, subject to further order of the Trial Chamber.
(vi) The amendments are deemed to have come into effect on 30th April 2005[4]
