The Armed Forces of the Republic of Sierra Leone (Amendment) Act, 2003

Being an Act to amend the Armed Forces of the Republic of Sierra Leone Act, 1961.

[10th April, 2003]

Enacted by the President and Members of Parliament in this present Parliament assembled.

Section 83 of the Armed Forces of the Republic Sierra Leone Act, 1961 is amended by the substitution for subsection (1) thereof of the following:-

"(1) The following persons may act as appropriate superior authority in relation to a person charged with an offence, that is to say, the Chief of Defence Staff and any officer of the rank of colonel or above or officer of corresponding rank under whose command the person is for the time being.".

Passed in Parliament this 27th day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand and three.
